In addition to gaining new businesses in the downtown business and shopping district, many long-time businesses are getting facelifts and renovations – inside and out – as part of a hand-in-glove plan to support the City’s $2.2 million revitalization project of downtown Hamilton.

Quaint shops and restaurants are now on multiple blocks in the “new” downtown area, with more planned for the near future. You can find everything from personal service businesses to a dance studio to antiques, jewelry, clothing stores for all ages, shoes, an art studio, and more! Growth of retail businesses has also taken place in all areas of the city with new buildings currently being erected or renovated.

Hamilton is proud to be home to one of the largest ATV sales facilities in the southeastern United States with MotorSportsSuperStore, located in downtown Hamilton. For those looking for something unique, the list of art galleries/studios continues to grow. We have three great grocery stores, a fresh meat market, a farmers’ market, great automobile dealers, sound financial institutions, insurance and mortgage businesses, home décor businesses, full-service gas stations (they pump!), and much more!

There's no need to travel to Tupelo, Florence or Jasper. The City participates along with Marion County and the State of Alabama in sales tax holidays held in February and August.
